World-Wide Japanese Vocabulary Contest
Be a World-wide Word Champion!
Step 1: Your identification
Give yourself an identifying name, using either your actual first and last name or a made-up name.
Step 2: Figure out the answers
Supply the Japanese equivalent for the list of five English words or expressions to the right ----->
You may use this online dictionary or any other dictionary.
Step 3: Submit your answers

Be sure to use the same ID name, whether real or fictitious, each time so we can keep track of your score

Step 4: Awarding of points
The first 25 players who submit all the correct answers will be awarded points.
The first player with all the correct answers receives 25 points, the second receives 24, the third receives 23, the fourth receives 22, and so on.
Step 5: Check the World-wide standings
The names of the top 25 submitters will be published on this website once a week.
A new list of five
items will be placed on this page each week, and the first 25 submitters
with the correct answers will be given points as described above.
Accumulated point standings will be kept until Word Contest #2 is finished
in December 2007. The player with the most number of points at the end of
this contest will be recognized as the World Champion for year 2007. A
certificate of achievement will be sent to the top three winners.
This contest is open to people of all nations and ages. The decision of our judges will be final.

Ordinarily, there is no singular-plural distinction for Japanese nouns. But there are some exceptions. See if you can make the plural forms of these nouns. Write the answers in ROOMAJI.
1. person pluralizing to people

3. mountain pluralizing to mountains
4. I pluralizing to we
5. you pluralizing to you people
