View from left side of bullet train. We were passing Shizuoka and saw the impressive Mt. Fuji. What's it like to be speeding along on the bullet train (しんかんせん)at nearly 300 kilometers per hour? This was what we saw as we were speeding along from Kyoto to Tokyo on the bullet train in mid-March, 2009. In case you were wondering, we haven't speeded up the film at all. We left Kyoto at 10:53am and arrived at Shinagawa Station in Tokyo at 1:10pm, a distance of about 500 kilometers. Click below and find out. Return to My Japanese Teacher
