Many people will have noticed some subtle changes here at EJOD. That's because we have just launched our all-new member's section.

It is loaded with many useful and long-requested features. Details of the contents of the member section are listed below. All these are available now in the Member's section..

Here is a short laundry list of the changes and additions in the member's section:

1. Ad-free: the Member's section is Ad-free.
2. Substantial additions have been made to the Member's section. Please see below.
3. Member Search 2008 has been expanded by more than 70% of the free search. Additions to Member Search are ongoing.
4. The J-E and E-J visual dictionaries include all the words in Search 2008 up to Jan. 1, 2008.
5. Volume 1 of the Japanese language textbook is now complete and only viewable (and downloadable) on the member site. In addition, we have included audio files for vocabulary so you can hear the correct pronunciation.
6. The Cash Cow contest for 2008 is about to begin. It is available for members only, and will feature an increase in cash prizes.
7. A new 13-page Grammar feature section has been added. It contains not just grammar but example sentences showing proper usage.
8. The Japan-related novel is now complete and more chapters have been uploaded. We will finish uploading the rest of it by late January or early February.
9. The Japan photos section is now for members only. We will be doubling the size of offerings over the next several months.
10. A completely new Kanji section has been added. Each page shows a finished version of the Kanji and a movie showing how each Kanji is to be properly made. In addition, the English meanings, Japanese pronunciations, and sample usage sentences are provided.
11. The EJOD Manga is now for members only. It will be completed during the course of the year.
12. A completely new Japanese Readings section has been added. It features short paragraphs of about 100 words each on a variety of topics relating to Japanese daily life and culture. At the end of each paragraph is a series of questions based on the readings.
13. A new 10-page basic Japanese Pronunciation section is now finished and online.
14. Longer sections now have a Table of Contents.
15. Access to the member section is by subscription payment of $12US per year.

Common Questions about becoming an EJOD member

1. Payment is made through PayPal--one of the internet's most common and secure methods of making payments online. Payment may also be made by international money order payable in US dollars and mailed to us.
2. If you are paying online, as most members do, you will have to sign up for a PayPal account and activate your credit card.
3. We encourage visitors to get their PayPal account set up first, and then sign up for your EJOD membership.
4. After making payment at PayPal, your account will be activated within 24 hours.
5. The contact name you use must be the same as the name on your payment or we won't be able to activate your account.
6. If you are paying by money order it will take a few weeks to process.
7. We will not sell, share or eitherwise transfer or disseminate the personal information of any person, or persons, who visits this website to anyone for any purpose, commercial or otherwise.
