This dictionary has been tested in classrooms and proven to contain the most common Japanese word in daily use that beginning and intermediate speakers of Japanese language need.

Tthis dictionary is free to all students of the Japanese language.

This dictionary is also available through online search feature.

No registration necessary. There is no need to register to use the dictionaries. You may use it online as often as you wish.

Updated annually. Each year we add more words and phrases. The dictionary has grown by several thousand words over the last few years. If you would like to request that a word be added, just let us know.
