EJOD's The Japanese Language Textbook Title Page

We heartily welcome all students of Japanese, young or old, to the study of this unique, vibrant language--the language of the infinite. The Japanese language did not evolve as did many other world languages. As far as we know, it suddenly appeared in its completeness and ability to communicate. Thus it is thought that the language came from deity. Perhaps because of its mystique, scores of Westerners have begun their study of this 'infinite' language. We hope you enjoy learning Japanese as much as we have.
