Hiragana Alphabet

There are 46 symbols used in modern Japanese. The first firve are the vowels A, I, U, E, and O. Pronuciation for these and other symbols haas been learned through the oral practise of saying the expressions written in earlier pages of this textbook.
Suggestions are given for teachers. and useful mneumonic devices to help students to rapidly learn the characters are given.
